What is CEREC?
CEREC is a digital dental system used to create custom porcelain fillings such as inlays, onlays and crowns.
Rather than taking traditional impressions and sending to an external dental laboratory, CEREC allows much of the process to take place within our clinic.
After your tooth is prepared, we take a detailed digital scan of your teeth. Your dentist then designs your restoration using CEREC software.
The restoration is milled from a high-quality ceramic block before being carefully fitted and bonded to your tooth.
For suitable cases, the entire process is completed during one appointment.
What Are CEREC Inlays and Onlays?
Sometimes a tooth needs more support than a standard filling but does not require a traditional full-coverage crown.
A ceramic inlay or onlay replaces the damaged or weakened section of the tooth while preserving as much healthy natural tooth structure as possible.
Your dentist will assess the condition of your tooth and recommend the restoration best suited to its size, location and remaining tooth structure.

Decades of Experience with CEREC Technology
Practitioners within our practice have a long history with CEREC technology.
Today’s CEREC technology combines detailed digital scanning, computer-aided design and precision milling to create high-quality restorations within the dental clinic.
Is CEREC Right for Your Tooth?
CEREC is suitable for many damaged, cracked, heavily filled or weakened teeth, but the right treatment depends on the condition of your individual tooth.
Following an examination, your dentist will discuss whether a ceramic filling, inlay, onlay, crown or another treatment option is most appropriate.
